On August 2010 Ensemble Ambrosius and Napoleon Murphy Brock played two concerts in Germany – Hamburg (St. Catharine’s Church) and Zappanale, Rostock. NDR Recorded the Hamburg event and the Ambrosian Studio Team (Veli Kujala & Olli Virtaperko with master Heikki Savolainen) produced a compilation of 80 minutes of the event to be published in cd in August.

The concert features the great Napoleon Murphy Brock on vocals and flute and with Frank Zappa classics such as The Idiot Bastard Son and Montana, the cd is likely to please the demands of the most devoted Zappa fans.

In addition to Zappa the record includes the masterpiece of the 20th century contemporary music, György Ligeti’s Continuum for solo harpsichord (performed by Ere Lievonen) and previously unreleased compositions by the ensemble’s leader, Olli Virtaperko.
